My mom is a bed maker. To this day, always made.
She has also always had something pretty on top of it. Pillows, a blanket across the bottom. Or here, across the top.
My bed is looking pretty simple these days.
But whether you keep it to a minimum, or layer 'em deep, pillows and throws are such a fun way to change up the look of your bedroom.

All sorts of inexpensive pillows, or pillow covers and inserts, or just pretty pillow cases are easy to find at places like Target, Home Sense, or Ikea. Ditto for throws.
If you're new to a pretty bed, maybe just start with the purchase of coloured pillow cases!
