31 Days to Discover Your Design Legacy

Welcome!
I'm so happy to have you stop in.

If you are visiting for the first time, you can scroll down to find Day 1.
Otherwise, find the current post below.

Day 1 ~ Design Legacy

Have you ever wondered why you like what you like?  Or what made you decide to store your popcorn in the freezer?

For me it has been my mother who has most influenced my design.
Join me for the next month as I show you some of her decorating and organizing ideas.
My hope is that as you read, my story will encourage you to explore your own design heritage.
And of course, I hope you will also pick up some great tips!

My childhood home in Northwestern Ontario.

So meet me back here tomorrow to Discover YOUR Design Legacy.

I didn't even know I had a design legacy. I can't wait to find out what it is. Probably something rustic.

  3. OH! That is SO TRUE! All growing up our home was decorated in antiques and rustic goodness. Now I just can't get enough of it!
Hope you'll stop by sometime to take a peak at my 31 days. New follower!

  5. That's a really good question! I'm not sure where I get my design aesthetic. My Mom is very much into French Provence mixed with Mediterranean. My grandmother was into Southwest stuff with cacti, peppers, and kokopelli.

I like a wild variety of stuff from mine & my husband's military service, mixed with some Asian elements, mixed with whatever I happen to enjoy...I have a very eclectic aesthetic, lol.

  6. You come from a rich heritage!! I'm in Texas on vacation as we speak and that cacti vibe is so appealing to a girl from Winnipeg! :)
    Thanks for stopping in.
