Have you ever wondered why you like what you like? Or what made you decide to store your popcorn in the freezer?
For me it has been my mother who has most influenced my design.
Join me for the next month as I show you some of her decorating and organizing ideas.
My hope is that as you read, my story will encourage you to explore your own design heritage.
And of course, I hope you will also pick up some great tips!
My childhood home in Northwestern Ontario. |
So meet me back here tomorrow to Discover YOUR Design Legacy.
Subscribing from the House/Home category at The Nester's #31Day challenge.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know I had a design legacy. I can't wait to find out what it is. Probably something rustic.
Rustic sounds fabulous! Thanks for stopping in...see you soon.

OH! That is SO TRUE! All growing up our home was decorated in antiques and rustic goodness. Now I just can't get enough of it!
ReplyDeleteHope you'll stop by sometime to take a peak at my 31 days. New follower!

That's a really good question! I'm not sure where I get my design aesthetic. My Mom is very much into French Provence mixed with Mediterranean. My grandmother was into Southwest stuff with cacti, peppers, and kokopelli.
ReplyDeleteI like a wild variety of stuff from mine & my husband's military service, mixed with some Asian elements, mixed with whatever I happen to enjoy...I have a very eclectic aesthetic, lol.
You come from a rich heritage!! I'm in Texas on vacation as we speak and that cacti vibe is so appealing to a girl from Winnipeg! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping in.
