It is so much fun for me to get to sort out a creative space!
I had the privilege of working with Joy the other day. She is super talented and makes the most fantastic stuff for her business, Garden Candy.
Joy needed her workshop organized.
She has loads of cool stuff and best of all, tonnes of great containers to store it all in.

We set to work one space at a time.
I often find that tackling an easy, obvious job first helps get the ball rolling and gives you a sense of accomplishment. An easy start in this case was sorting paint.

There was also a whole lot of wood to deal with which we sorted and stored in this corner unit.

When you have something unusual to store, it helps to think of it like a similar household item...in this case we "filed" the wood just as we might have done with paper.
Once the easier jobs were done, we moved on to the desk.

This took a bit more time but it's important for Joy's work space to be functional and efficient.
The last job was the work bench. This involved a lot of sorting of screws, nails and such which as you can imagine, is time consuming, but in the end is well worth the effort.

We used jars and cute containers (Joy made that SEEDS box!) to house the wood working items.
The last touch was to add this table as additional work space for projects.
I am completely in love with this room and can't wait to see what Joy creates in her new space!!
